Working out with Sammy Q - Multi Movement
Posted October 21, 2009 – 12:52 pm in: Pegasus Internet Training ProgramI had a really fun experience training one of today’s top tennis talents, Sam Querrey. For 7 weeks, in 2007 we put in some good work at his gym in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Sam is 6 ft 6, put moves like someone 5 ft 4. He really is well proportioned and glides on the court.
I am not a big believer in Two Legged Squats for tennis players, but I do like this very functional exercise that incorporates a row with a squat.
This is awesome for so many types of athletes and people. It really gets the heart rate going, builds endurance, and helps people learning how to work from the ground up while using the kinetic chained stored in their body. Ankle, to knee, to hip, to shoulders, and out through the hand.
Remember to keep your lower back straight, and start off with a light weight so you can practice the movement.
