The Pauly P Lateral Baseline Shuffle

Here is an excellent drill to get you moving side to side well at the baseline. Now keep in mind, I am not a world class athlete anymore…I use to be, but that was many years ago. My point is, that although I did a respectable 16.06 time here, the top tennis players can do this much quicker. No doubt, you have to be careful when performing on grass.
What I did here was measure out 13.5 feet from one cone to another, then added another 13.5 feet to the middle cone, making this a total of 27 feet. The exact same measurements of a baseline on a tennis court.
Start by touching down with your right hand and right foot next to the cone, then use cross over steps and linear running to accelerate to the next cone. Go back to the start and touch the farthest cone with the correct foot and hand work, then return to the start. Repeat this twice and time it.
As previously mentioned, I did a 16.06 on my first attempt, and then a 15.49 on my second. What can you do???
