The Alt Arm Press, works on increasing your upper body strength by using an isometric hold, for every rep.
By holding one db up high, you also train your core musculature because you are fighting gravity with a heavy resistance.
Start off light with this one and practice it with good form. A lot of my clients tend to place both of the dumbbell’s near their chest. This is incorrect and you want to always be sure to have the db’s above your chest and arms locked.
