Last Day of the Giro - The Race of Truth
Posted May 31, 2009 – 7:16 am in: Pegasus Internet Training Program
Today is the last day of the Giro d’Italia and our boy, LA, finds him in a very respectable 12th place. As Lance put it best, “Not bad for an old man that spent 4 years drinking beer and crashing hard in the last month.”
This has been the best preparation for the Tour de France coming up next month. Lance will be at the start line in much better form for the Tour start, than he was for the Giro. In my mind, he is the heavy favorite to win in Paris.
Today’s TT is very technical and a large portion of it is on cobblestones. The last time I did a cobblestone race was in Philadelphia. I remember having a new Canondale frame for the race. I was a junior racing in the Pro’s and half way through the race, I crashed and because of the pounding of the cobble’s, my frame actually snapped on the down tube.
This will make for an awesome day in Italy! Good Luck LA!
