Lance Ok’ed for Tour…Giro right around the Corner!

Lance Armstrong has been cleared to race the Tour de France by the French Drug Authorities! This is big news for Team Livestrong for there was talk about the French trying to snub Armstrong by keeping him out.
No doubt this would be a dumb decision and I am really happy to hear that he will be able to start. He still has to make it through the Giro however before making it to the start line of the Tour.
In 1988, when Greg LeMond shocked the world by winning the Tour de France. It was in the Giro D’Italia that Greg placed 2nd in the final time trial.
I will never forget being a kid and looking at the NY Times Sports section to see the results of that Time Trial. Out of NO WHERE Greg was back on top of the world in Pro Cycling.
If Lance can have a good Giro, you know dam well he will be the favorite once again to win the Tour de France for an 8th time.
