Kendrick Advances to 2nd Round - French Open

kendofrenchAfter battling for over 3 hours and 5 sets of tennis, American, Robert Kendrick, the kid they call “White Shadow” advanced to the 2nd round of the French Open.

This his White Shadow’s first ever win in Paris and the win has shown the world that Robert is ready to make his move into the top 50.

Up next is the feisty little Chihuahua, Gilles Simon, from France.

Simon likes to grind away on the baseline and can give opponents fits. White Shadow will have to stay patient, and really be smart to win. He will have to job on short balls and attack all day long. This does not mean “kamikaze” into the net, …this means, using his tennis senses like a well seasoned hunter, and SMELLING when the blood is coming out. kendofrench21

Look for White Shadow to put pressure on Simon’s god awful serve, and break at least once each match.

Robert recently played Gilles in Portugal, and narrowly lost to him.

When I coached Amer in Australia, Big Bozz took out Simon, 0,1, and 2, in just over an hour. Bozzle blew him off the court, hitting clean, crisp, forcing shots from every spot near the baseline.

Kendo will have to do the same and is definitely in a position to do so.

I don’t think that will happen tomorrow on Phillipe Chautier Stadium, but I am prediction the upset of the tournament.

Stay tuned for updates and congrats to Robby and his coach, Dustin Taylor. They have been in traveling for the past few weeks and have a few more to go…
