If you want to improve your golf game, improving your “golf fitness” is one way to do so. The golf swing is a complex movement and golf is a sport. Athletes play sports, and the great athletes excel. The top athletes are strong, fast, and flexible. If you treat golf as a sport and your body as an athlete, you can play to your potential as a golfer. Training the right “Movement Patterns” will give you more distance and control on your shots, and ultimately help in lowering your score. Today’s Profile features Erik Brumme from Amelia Island, FL. A personal training client of mine that makes training a lot of fun.

We have stayed away from all machines, and have focused on the movement patterns of Squatting, Pushing, Pulling and Rotational Core Movements. To improve the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, a mixture of jogging, walking, and recumbent cycling have been implemented into the program. brummenews-024
