Garage Training Series 2 - The Step Up with C - Rod

Here Chris is demonstrating one of my favorites. The Step Up.
Notice how he really gets that Core firing by lifting up his knee high and standing really tall. By doing so, he is engaging his hip and is working on mobility among other things.
Also, his balance is really getting tested here as well. Try holding the position for a total of 2 - 3 secs and try to prevent yourself from swaying. 
If you play tennis, golf, or just want to work on strengthening your legs and improving your quality of life, this is an exercise for you.
In this pic, C-Rod is doing his 3 set of 12 reps per leg…holding 25 pounds in each leg.
Try this one out sometime. Start from a low position, and with light weight. It’s pretty safe, just don’t fall over!

Chris makes this look easy with his perfect form - but take it from Momma - it is a toughie but a MUST for regaining strength if you are like me - out of shape and in your forties - I LOVE this exercise !
