Forehand - The Importance of Shoulders and Hip Rotation

Posted May 25, 2009 – 12:53 pm in: Cycling, Tennis Instruction

In this rare, never before seen video, Tennis Professional, Aaron “Slotchy” Webster, talks about his interpretation of the forehand groundstroke and how the shoulders and hips play a huge roll in it.

He shows the importance of having a strong core throughout the entire body. He also points out how pivoting and balance come into play in order to make the shot more natural and less “arm-ie”.

If you want to hit your forehand better, watch this video. You will find that many instructors are oblivious to the importance of shoulder and hip rotation and players hit through the ball. This video is a great free lesson for you!
